On On!!

Survived a cold night but learned a few things. Ran out of fuel trying to boil water - it takes a lot more fuel to boil water when the temp. is in the single digits. Spent a pretty comfortable night inside tent and inside the shelter but in the middle of the night tent collapsed and got wet from frost. This morning sleeping bag was wet, and tent and pack covered with icicles - makes for a heavier load. Heading for the NOC (Nanthala Outdoor Center - a hostel on the trail) today - only 5 miles mostly downhill. Will rest up there for the rest of today and tonight as legs are a little sore and need to dry out.

Hi Josh

Scrabble games just aren't the same anymore.....there are more "tiles/letters" to go around. READ between the lines folks - Josh cheats! I think about you all the time and wonder where you are? Are you by yourself or with Zero? I will continue to keep up with your progress - until it gets quite a bit warmer. Frank is hiking the approach trail to Springer today with Kiddo. Keep going! But take good care of yourself too. Laura and Frank
